Job Title: Executive Director
Reports To: Board of Directors Location: On-Site, Weatherford TX Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Position Summary
The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of the organization and is responsible
for providing strategic leadership, organizational management, and operational oversight in
alignment with the mission, vision, and core values of the nonprofit. The Executive Director works
closely with the Board of Directors to develop long-term goals, strengthen community partnerships,
and ensure the sustainability and growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategic Vision
- Provide visionary leadership that advances the organization’s mission and strategic
goals.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and implement strategic plans and
policies.
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and mission-driven organizational culture.
Operations & Program Management
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring programs and services are effectively managed and
mission-focused.
- Evaluate program effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure compliance
with all regulatory and funding requirements.
- Manage and develop staff, promoting professional growth, accountability, and teamwork.
Financial Management
- Develop and oversee the annual budget in partnership with the Board and finance
committee.
- Ensure sound financial practices, transparency, and compliance with all grant and funding
requirements.
- Identify opportunities to diversify and strengthen funding streams through grants, donations,
sponsorships, and partnerships.
Fundraising & Development
- Lead fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation, grant writing, corporate sponsorships,
and special events.
- Serve as the primary spokesperson and ambassador for the organization within the community and
to stakeholders.
- Maintain and grow relationships with donors, community leaders, partner organizations, and
government agencies.
Governance & Board Relations
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors and the organization.
- Provide regular updates on organizational performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Support the Board in governance, recruitment, orientation, and strategic engagement.
Community Engagement & Advocacy
- Represent the organization at public events, community meetings, and media
opportunities.
- Build partnerships that strengthen the organization’s impact and visibility.
- Advocate for policies and initiatives aligned with the organization’s mission.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or
related field (Master’s preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven
organization.
- Proven track record in strategic planning, fundraising, and financial management.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex programs, and engage diverse
stakeholders.
- Passion for the organization’s mission and values.
