    PROGRAM SPECIALIST – COMMUNITY SERVICES

    The Program Specialist is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Community Services Foundation programs and special initiatives. This role works closely with the President & CEO to execute the organization’s annual workplan across program sites while addressing day-to-day administrative, operational, and logistical needs.

    This is a full-time position. The incumbent will spend 50% of his/her time on administrative matters and the remaining 50% of his/her time coordinating a tutoring program.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with site coordinators to prepare and submit accurate monthly program and compliance reports for grants, owners, food bank programs, etc.
    • Work with fellow program specialists to prepare for site visits by owners, funders, partners, elected officials, etc.
    • Work with fellow program specialists to screen, interview, and advise on new hires, interns, and volunteers.
    • Coordinate and manage assigned special projects, which may include initiatives related to CSF’s scholarship program, volunteer development, and fundraising.
    • Ensure all program sites adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Partner with the President & CEO and fellow Program Specialists to identify staff training opportunities.
    • Troubleshoot issues involving program vendors and community partners; elevate and advise leadership on key concerns and collaborate on solutions.
    • Identify operational needs including supplies, equipment, and aids necessary for successful program operations.
    • Conduct regular site visits to monitor program operations, verify staff attendance, and address concerns with property managers and site stakeholders.
    • Provide onsite tutoring coordination Monday – Friday from 2PM to 6PM.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned to support organizational goals.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, social services, or a related field is required. Evidence of 1-3 years of work experience
    • Must have reliable car transportation
    • Demonstrated experience in program development, partnership development, reporting, fundraising, and volunteer management
    • Knowledge of case management and social issues affecting children, youth, adults, seniors, and families in low-income and underserved communities
    • Experience supervising program and/or administrative staff
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, both internally and externally
    • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe tools
    • Familiarity with virtual collaboration platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet

    Salary

    $47K-$49K annually. Benefits eligible after 60 days. Benefits include health, dental, 401k, EAP.
