    We’re Hiring a Medical Director/Chief Medical Officer to Lead With Purpose

    Our FQHC is seeking a Medical Director/CMO who thrives at the intersection of clinical care, leadership, and strategy, someone who wants their work to truly matter in the lives of patients and families.

    Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Medical Director/Chief Medical Officer (MD-CMO) will mentor and support all clinical staff members in all aspects of primary care services provided by the health center, including but not limited to ancillary services such as mental health, laboratory, and pharmacy services. CMO is responsible for providing direct patient care as per their medical discipline. In addition, the MD-CMO will partner closely with senior leadership to set clinical vision, strengthen operations, and enhance the quality and efficiency of care. Your voice will guide evidence‑based practices, patient safety initiatives, program development, and system improvements across the organization.

    What You’ll Do

    As our Medical Director/CMO, you will:

    • Clinical Oversight: Provide clinical leadership that ensures patients receive exceptional, patient‑centered care.
    • Leadership: Guide and mentor a talented team of providers across primary care, behavioral health, and specialty services.
    • Strategic Planning: Shape clinical strategy and support the growth of programs that meet the evolving needs of our community.
    • Quality Improvement: Drive quality improvement initiatives and uphold the highest standards of care, safety, and evidence‑based practice.
    • Clinical Operations Management: Partner with executive leadership to strengthen operations, enhance patient experience, and expand access to care.
    • Represent our health center in the community and build strong partnerships to improve population health.

    What We’re Looking For

    A mission‑driven physician leader who:

    • Thrives in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment
    • Brings strong clinical expertise and a passion for community health
    • Solid knowledge of PCMH accreditation processes.
    • Has experience leading providers or clinical teams
    • Values innovation, continuous improvement, and patient safety
    • Is committed to serving underserved and diverse populations
    • Familiarity with the Federal and State rules, regulations, and practices pertaining to a Federally Qualified Health Center highly preferred

    Education/Experience.

    Board Certified Physician (MD or DO)

    Licensure in New Jersey, or willingness to become licensed in New Jersey.
