    Position Overview

    The Middle School Program Coordinator will provide onsite programming and operational support for the Middle School Program Manager and instructors during Saturday & After-School programming and will support with data management and other projects outside of in-person programming hours. The projected start date is January 2026; NJ LEEP’s program year runs through May 2026. The Coordinator will be expected to be onsite at our downtown Newark location from 8:30am – 1:00pm on Saturday programming dates, and from 3:00pm – 6:30pm on 3-4 designated Tuesdays & Thursdays each month. All programming will be held in person at our office in Newark for the 2025-2026 school year.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Provide administrative & programmatic support on all aspects of Saturday Scholars programming (held twice a month) including printing of materials, oversight of Saturday programming, data input, and other duties as assigned
    • Monitor and track relevant data points, including but not limited to homework completion and infractions, in collaboration with Middle School Program Manager
    • Supervise students, particularly during arrival and dismissal
    • Support student behavior management during Saturday & after-school 8th grade programming (held monthly on Tuesday afternoons)
    • Provide instructional coverage for Saturday programming and after-school programming as needed
    • Proactively create a warm, welcoming, and high-energy culture for students

    Qualifications:

    • Must be able to work in-person on Saturdays & select Tuesdays & Thursdays
    • High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
    • Excellent interpersonal communication/customer service skills
    • Strong organizational and data management skills

    Compensation: This position will be paid $18 per hour.
