About Hudson Hall
Hudson Hall is New York State's oldest surviving theater and a multidisciplinary arts center presenting performances, exhibitions, festivals, film screenings and talks, and community programs throughout the year. Our work spans music, dance, theater, visual art, film, civic dialogue, and education, bringing together artists and audiences from the Hudson Valley and beyond.

Position Summary
The Marketing & Audience Engagement Associate plays a central role in how patrons experience Hudson Hall. Working closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications, this position helps execute marketing campaigns across multiple platforms while serving as a primary point of contact for guests before, during, and after events.
This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys both creative communications and working directly with people. You'll gain broad experience across marketing, engagement, ticketing, customer service, membership, and event operations while contributing to nearly every public-facing aspect of the organization.
Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications
- Build and update event pages on the Hudson Hall website
- Draft and deploy email campaigns
- Prepare patron communications, including pre-event emails
- Publish and schedule approved social media content
- Maintain community calendars and event listings
- Adapt marketing assets across print and digital platforms using Canva, Adobe Suite, or AI tools
- Coordinate print production such as playbills and posters with outside vendors
- Organize photography, video, and marketing assets
- Assist with campaign reporting and audience analytics
Patron Services & Ticketing
- Manage Hudson Hall's ticketing system and PatronManager database
- Build events, seating maps, ticket allocations, discount codes, and ticket offers
- Respond to patron inquiries by phone and email
- Process exchanges, refunds, and accessibility requests
- Maintain patron and membership records
- Generate audience reports and mailing lists for marketing and development
Front-of-House & Audience Experience
- Help ensure a welcoming, accessible, and memorable audience experience
- Coordinate front-of-house operations during performances and events
- Manage check-in and box office operations
- Coordinate VIP seating and special guest logistics
Membership & Patron Engagement
- Support the administration and growth of Hudson Hall's membership program
- Fulfill member benefits and assist with renewals
- Identify opportunities to increase engagement and repeat attendance
- Support donor stewardship through exceptional patron service
- Track audience feedback and share insights with staff
Collaboration
This position works closely with colleagues across Marketing, Development, Production, and Administration to ensure ticketing, communications, patron experience, and event logistics remain aligned.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who is curious, organized, collaborative, and eager to learn.
Strong candidates will bring:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic familiarity with graphic design tools
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Customer service and interpersonal skills
- Comfortability learning new software and technology
- Good judgment, initiative, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
- An interest in the performing arts, visual arts, and cultural institutions
Experience with PatronManager, Salesforce, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, or similar platforms is helpful but not required.
Schedule
This is a full-time position based in Hudson, New York.
Most work takes place during regular weekday office hours, with evening and weekend hours during performances, festivals, and special events. Hudson Hall supports a flexible, collaborative work environment, including occasional hybrid work where appropriate and consistent with organizational needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $45,000-$50,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
