Position Summary
The Public Art position develops, stewards, and strengthens key relationships to advance Amplify Arts’ mission to uplift local artists. It leads public art partnership development, outreach, and project management to foster collaborations with artists, community partners, and cultural institutions. This role helps guide strategic direction by aligning projects with organizational goals and values, coordinating multi-stage partnership processes, and overseeing budgets and partnership contracts.
Responsibilities associated with managing public art partnership projects from start to finish include drafting proposals and agreements, managing timelines, cost estimating, budgeting, stakeholder relationships, and all phases of production. It serves as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, communicating with partners, and providing regular updates to ensure that complex, multi-stakeholder projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards with clarity and accountability. Success requires exceptional communication skills, strong leadership abilities, and extensive project management experience.
As part of the staff, the role contributes to strategic planning, budgeting, and internal communication while helping cultivate a collaborative, inclusive work environment grounded in equity and creativity. It also represents Amplify Arts at community events and partner meetings.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This position is based in Omaha, Nebraska, and requires regular in-person collaboration with team members, partners, and community stakeholders. While some work may be performed remotely, this is not a fully remote role. The position involves a hybrid work environment with a combination of home-based work and in-person meetings, events, and site visits as needed.
The role requires reliable access to transportation for local meetings and community engagements throughout the Omaha metro area. Evening or weekend availability may occasionally be required for programs or partner events. Candidates must have access to a personal laptop and a stable internet connection to perform essential job functions. This position primarily involves sedentary work at a computer, with occasional light physical activity related to event setup or project installation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.

The interview process will include 2 rounds, with the option of in-person or Zoom meetings (depending on the location and preference of the candidate). Amplify will provide each candidate with interview questions at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled interview time.
