    Description

    WV FREE seeks a compassionate, organized, and mission-driven Direct Services & Program Coordinator to join our team. This position will play a key role in providing direct support to people seeking reproductive health resources through the CICADA Center while also supporting WV FREE’s broader programs, trainings, outreach, and community partnerships.

    We’re looking for someone who believes deeply in reproductive health, rights and justice and is comfortable working directly with people navigating complex healthcare and social service systems.

    What You’ll Do

    • Provide trauma-informed, person-centered support and reproductive health options counseling to CICADA Center clients and others seeking resources around the state.
    • Connect clients with healthcare, housing, transportation, childcare, financial assistance and other community resources.
    • Help clients navigate healthcare, legal and social service systems and advocate for their needs.
    • Coordinate referrals and build strong relationships with healthcare providers, educators and community partners.
    • Support WV FREE programs, community outreach, events, trainings and workshops.
    • Maintain confidential client records and track program outcomes and data.
    • Assist with program evaluation, grant reporting, research and efforts to sustain and grow WV FREE’s direct service programs.
    • Support fundraising events and campaigns related to program sustainability.
    • Collaborate with WV FREE staff and partners to advance reproductive health, rights and justice throughout West Virginia.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling or a related field.
    • Experience providing direct services, advocacy, case management or community-based support preferred.
    • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and strengths-based approaches.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive information with care and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
    • Commitment to reproductive justice, equity, inclusion and client self-determination.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional travel.

    Especially helpful: Social work degree or licensure; experience in nonprofit, reproductive health, community health, or domestic violence services; and/or bilingual skills. Proven track record in working independently while also being a team player.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment for extended periods.
    • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
    • Ability to travel locally for meetings, events, or trainings, if required.
