    Description

    The National Grants Management Association is actively recruiting for a Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This role reports directly to the Director of Communications and is focused on elevating NGMA’s brand, strengthening member engagement, and supporting the visibility of NGMA’s programs, publications, and events.

    The Marketing Coordinator develops strategies for NGMA’s social media presence, advertising, website experience, and email communications. The main responsibilities include:

    Digital Marketing & Social Media (40%)

    • Responsible for growth of social media reach and engagement and recommending data-driven improvements.
    • Manages NGMA’s social media channels (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram), including content planning, posting, monitoring, and engagement.
    • Develops and maintains a social media content calendar aligned with organizational priorities and campaigns.
    • Develops NGMA's advertising strategy and manages the associated budget across channels, selecting placements and messaging investments; analyzes return on investment and formulates data-driven recommendations for year-over-year adjustments.
    • Creates compelling, brand‑aligned graphics and short-form videos aligned with NGMA’s marketing strategy.
    • Monitors trends in nonprofit, grants management, and association communications to keep NGMA’s digital presence current and relevant.
    • Creates targeted outreach campaigns to prospective member groups and stakeholders.

    Website & Email Communications (35%)

    • Leads NGMA's multi-phase development and improvement initiatives, to prioritize enhancements, and allocate resources across phases.
    • Oversees ongoing content standards to ensure accuracy, clarity, accessibility, and brand alignment.
    • Collaborates with internal teams to post new events, resources, announcements, and program updates.
    • Supports email marketing efforts, including drafting content, building campaigns, segmenting audiences, and monitoring performance metrics.
    • Ensures consistent messaging and visual identity across all digital platforms.
    • Works with technology partners to troubleshoot website or email issues as needed.

    Design, Presentations & Content (15%)

    • Directs the planning and execution of on-stage graphics, presentations, and video content for NGMA's live events to align visual storytelling with the event’s objectives.
    • Consults with presenters – whether staff, board or external trainers or speakers – to develop effective presentations for internal and external events.
    • Ensures all materials meet accessibility standards and reflect NGMA’s values and voice.

    General (10%)

    • Supports NGMA’s Annual Grants Training and other major events as needed.
    • Demonstrates ability to solve problems, manage systems and data, and suggest appropriate solutions.
    • Works alongside the technology team to ensure accuracy of customer data, registration information, and reporting.
    • Completes other special projects assigned by the Executive Director or Director of Communications.

    Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
      • Minimum of two years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or digital media.
      • Minimum of two years of nonprofit experience (association management preferred).
      • Experience managing social media channels for an organization or brand.
      • Knowledge of AI-powered marketing, Search Engine Optimization, Pay-Per-Click Advertising, Social Media marketing and Content Marketing.
      • Experience with Canva or similar design tools; basic design skills required.
      • Strong writing and editing skills with a customer/member service orientation.
      • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
      • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
      • Ability to travel out of state and overnight as needed (anticipated 2–4 times per year).
      • Professionalism: Good judgment, ability to interact with all levels of staff, volunteers, and vendors, appropriate demeanor, confidence.
      • Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, and Zoom Meetings.
      • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
