    Position Summary

    The Parish Administrator provides administrative and operational support to the Rector and parish staff and plays a central role in the smooth functioning of the parish office. This position serves as a primary point of contact for parishioners, visitors, volunteers, and community partners.

    Key Responsibilities

      • Maintain a welcoming, organized parish office and coordinate volunteer office coverage
      • Receive and route phone calls, emails, mail, and in-person inquiries
      • Manage office supplies, vendor coordination, and basic IT liaison needs
      • Maintain parish records and workflows using Realm or similar database
      • Coordinate the Parish Master Calendar, including worship, events, and facility use
      • Process requests for baptisms, weddings, and funerals
      • Support the Rector’s calendar, meetings, and follow-up tasks
      • Prepare materials for worship, parish mailings, annual reporting, and parish initiatives
      • Collaborate with the Communications Director on parish communications

    Qualifications

      • High school diploma or equivalent required
      • 2–3 years’ experience in church, nonprofit, or office administration preferred
      • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual meeting tools
      • Willingness to learn parish systems (training provided)

    Work Environment

      • On-site presence during scheduled office hours
      • Occasional evenings or weekends for special events
      • Adherence to Episcopal Church and Diocese of Maryland policies, including Safe Church requirements
