Description
MAKE A DIFFERENCE. BUILD COMMUNITY. BE A PART OF SOMETHING MEANINGFUL.
At Loudoun Hunger Relief (LHR), we believe everyone deserves access to nutritious food, compassionate support, and the resources they need to thrive.
As a Community Care Associate, you will play an important role in making that happen. You will work directly with our neighbors, volunteers, community partners, and team members to help create welcoming, respectful, and positive experiences for the people we serve. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with people, being part of a team, solving problems, and making a tangible difference in the community. No two days are exactly alike—you may support food distributions, welcome new families, connect neighbors with community resources, assist with outreach events, or help lead a mobile market.

- Connect neighbors with other community organizations, resources, and services where appropriate.
Support Daily Operations
- Serve as a shift lead for on-site and mobile food distributions when assigned.
- Help create an environment where neighbors, volunteers, and team members feel welcomed, respected, and valued.
- Help ensure distributions run efficiently, safely, and smoothly.
- Prepare distribution sites by organizing supplies and forms, completing setup, and ensuring the program database is ready.
- Assist with closing procedures, including resetting spaces and organizing supplies and equipment.
Support Education & Outreach
- Promote LHR's educational programs and services and assist neighbors with registration.
- Represent Loudoun Hunger Relief at community outreach and education events.
