    Description

    The Salvation Army of Broward County seeks an accomplished, relationship-driven fundraising leader to serve as Director of Development during a pivotal moment in the organization's history.

      • Lead and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy supporting annual operations, long-term growth initiatives, and the ongoing success of the Centennial Campaign.
      • Build upon an established foundation of donor relationships, campaign momentum, and community partnerships while identifying new opportunities for philanthropic investment.
      • Coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure campaign initiatives, fundraising projects, donor communications, and organizational priorities are executed effectively and on schedule.
      • Serve as a strategic partner to the Area Commander and Advisory Board in fundraising, campaign advancement, board engagement, and community outreach.
      • Collaborate closely with designated Salvation Army regional major gifts and planned giving professionals to maximize philanthropic opportunities and coordinate local donor strategies.
      • Oversee and strengthen all development operations, including donor stewardship, direct response fundraising, volunteer engagement, community relations, marketing, grants, and special events.
      • Provide leadership and oversight for the organization's signature fundraising events, including the highly successful Red Shield Regatta and other key community engagement initiatives.
      • Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and contractors supporting grant writing, campaign strategy, marketing, communications, video production, direct mail, and special events.
      • Manage and mentor development staff while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, professionalism, and excellence.
      • Oversee donor database management, fundraising analytics, vendor relationships, reporting, acknowledgments, and campaign tracking.
