Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Answering the phone during office hours and assist with in-person inquiries from Members and the general public.
- Opening and distributing mail; Monitoring e-mails daily and responding as necessary.
- Maintain organizational calendar, including events, programs, staff meetings, holidays, and other organizational events.
- Regularly posts to social media outlets about the NCCA and OPB events and activities.
- Provide administrative and operational support to ED and board and committee meetings as required.
- Coordinating our Member Monday Lunch (October – May), including taking reservations, processing payments, and executing day of event tasks as needed.
- Assisting with Monday Enrichment Programs (October – May) planning and execution as needed.
- Assisting the Gala and Scholarship Committees with the planning and execution of fundraising events as needed.
- Processing cash receipts including donations and for our parking lot tenants, coordinating New Memberships and Renewals including: sending invoices, processing and recording payments, and updating Member website.
- Assisting Nineteenth Century Members and Board with tasks as requested.
- Maintaining an inventory of office supplies and ordering as needed.
Qualifications:
- Dependability and punctual attendance are required as this is an office position with no work-from-home option.
- Minimum of three years office experience or college degree.
- Friendly customer service skills; socially engaging and personable.
- Strong organizational skills, goal oriented, and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner.
- Computer skills required: data entry, communications, and social media platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines a must. Ability to multitask and prioritize a plus.
- Experience at a non-profit organization and/or interest in nonprofit management a plus.
