    Join a nationally accredited Children’s Advocacy Center dedicated to helping children heal from abuse and trauma. As part of a collaborative Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), you will provide life-changing therapeutic services to children and families navigating some of their most difficult experiences.

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a Licensed Therapist or Registered Mental Health Intern to provide trauma-informed therapy to children and families. This role includes both specialized abuse-focused treatment and general mental health counseling.

    Key Responsibilities

      • Provide individual, family, and group therapy for children impacted by trauma/abuse
      • Deliver mental health counseling for children and families with ongoing treatment needs
      • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
      • Utilize evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment modalities
      • Conduct psychological testing and assessments as appropriate
      • Provide crisis intervention and safety planning
      • Facilitate group therapy and parenting education programs
      • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and case records
      • Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) case reviews
      • Complete required training and continuing education

    Qualifications

    Required:

      • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
      • Licensed in Florida (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT) or Registered Intern working toward licensure
      • Experience working with children, families, or trauma populations
      • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and child development

    Preferred:

      • Experience in a Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), child welfare, or dependency system
      • Training in evidence-based trauma therapies (TF-CBT, PCIT, etc.)
      • Bi-lingual helpful

      • Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic skills
      • Excellent written documentation and communication abilities
      • Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team (MDT)
      • Effective time management and organizational skills
      • Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines
      • Compassionate, adaptable, and resilient in emotionally sensitive situations
      • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills

    Level of Language Proficiency
