We share a mission of making birth safer for Black and Brown families. Our vision is for our community to enter a new world where birth is a safe, healthy, and joyful experience for all. Our guiding pillars include Birth Worker Sustainability, Power Building and Organizing, Holistic Care, and Thriving Communities. We are known for sponsoring and hosting a biannual Community Baby Shower in collaboration with GALS and PIP that serves hundreds of families each year with baby and perinatal essentials. Collectively, our organizations serve over 1000 families per year in Central Texas. We also like to uplift rest and the collective care of our birth workers through an annual retreat. We are growing and looking to expand our impact through expanding capacity by hiring a Community Engagement Manager and a Development Manager that will work alongside our Operations Manager and a team of volunteers in our workgroups that we call Circles. Our culture is non-hierarchal with powered shared in the steering committee. We work collaboratively to expand our collective impact and reach. Please visit our website to learn more. Thank you.
