    Description

    The Operations & Planning Manager will serve as a senior advisor to the Executive Director (ED), providing recommendations and oversight for operations, strategic and financial planning, communications, and administrative functions in support of KC Health Collaborative’s focus areas: Kansas City Health Equity Learning and Action Network (LAN); Business Roundtable on Health; and, Health Equity Data Index initiative. The Manager will also represent the ED to internal and external constituents, provide day-to-day oversight of operations and administration, oversee project timelines, enable business development, and enhance organizational productivity. In addition, the Manager will lead ad hoc projects, key initiatives, and cross-sector teams in support of KCHC’s mission and goals.

    Essential Functions:

    • Ensure all financial, legal, and regulatory documents are filed, reported, audited and in compliance with laws and regulations for the organization.
    • Partner with the ED to implement KCHC’s vision and achieve strategic goals by measuring and analyzing current revenue streams, offerings, and relationships to optimize business growth and revenue strategy.
    • Ensure that KCHC’s operations run efficiently and meet performance and quality expectations by implementing financial procedures, and organizational policies, systems, and programs (inclusive of human resources and technologies) to optimize operating capabilities.
    • Oversee, direct, and manage all day-to-day business operations. Identifies operational risks and solutions.
    • Collaborate with ED and outsourced accountant on grants/contracts related to day-to-day operations and compiling budgets and financial reports for short- and long-term planning.
    • Provide technical expertise and project management related to the development and implementation of KCHC’s strategic plan.
    • Partner with outsourced marketing team to develop, streamline, and manage internal and external communications strategy, policies, and procedures.
    • Establish and nurture highly effective relationships with internal and external constituents and manage high-priority projects for the ED designed to achieve KCHC’s mission and strategic vision.
    • Collaborate with the ED and Board Chair to provide timely, accurate, and complete reports to the board of directors (BOD).
    • Plan and coordinate BOD meetings and external events in collaboration with the ED.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
