    About Us

    DEFEND is a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to protecting children and other vulnerable people online. Our mission is to reduce online risks through education and technology to create safer digital spaces.

    Role Description

    As an Advocacy Team Member, you will support DEFEND’s efforts to drive policy change, raise public awareness, and mobilize communities. This is a foundational role within the Advocacy Team, working closely with leadership, marketing, and outreach teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Support advocacy campaigns (petitions, awareness initiatives, outreach efforts)
    • Assist with event planning, coordination, and execution
    • Engage with communities and stakeholders to promote online safety
    • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, social media, partnerships)
    • Attend weekly meetings and contribute to strategy discussions

    Qualifications

    • Strong interest in online safety and advocacy
    • Good communication and teamwork skills
    • Organized and reliable
    • No prior experience required (training provided)
