    Founded in 1985 by Board Chair Hon. John V. Lindsay, Executive Producer Bernard Gersten and Director Gregory Mosher, and led for 33 years by André Bishop, LCT is one of the leading nonprofit theaters in the country, producing an annual season of plays and musicals that have been seen by millions around the globe. It is one of 11 autonomous constituents of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Each year, the three theaters that make up LCT welcome nearly 300,000 audience members to its home on the Lincoln Center campus.

    Position Summary

    We are seeking an IT System Administrator to manage the critical technology infrastructure that powers our theater operations. Reporting directly to the Director of IT, you will ensure 24/7 system availability for our Box Office, Production, and administrative teams. This role requires a unique blend of high-level systems architecture and hands-on support for specialized theater software and hardware. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall health and security of our servers, cloud environments, and core business applications. You will lead complex infrastructure projects, mentor staff, and ensure 24/7 system availability. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise across multiple platforms and is a proactive problem-solver dedicated to driving operational excellence.

    Responsibilities:

    • Infrastructure Management: Design, install, and configure physical and virtual servers (Windows), network devices, and firewalls.
    • Manage onsite and remote hardware (Windows/macOS) and peripheral theater tech like barcode scanners and thermal printers.
    • Cloud & Virtualization: Manage and optimize cloud services (AWS, Azure, Office365, Google Cloud) and virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V.
    • Security & Compliance: Implement security protocols, manage identity services (Active Directory, Azure AD), and remediate vulnerabilities to protect data integrity.
    • Specialized Systems Management: Maintain and optimize theater-specific platforms such as Tessitura, for ticketing and CRM, NetSuite for Financial Management & Accounting and Propared for production scheduling.
    • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Protect sensitive donor and patron data in compliance with PCI standards and nonprofit security best practices.
    • Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor system performance, analyze logs, and perform capacity planning to prevent downtime.
    • Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain comprehensive backup strategies and disaster recovery plans; regularly conduct testing and verification.
    • Project Leadership: Act as a project lead for major IT initiatives, including system migrations, upgrades, and new technology implementations.
    • Mentorship & Support: Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentor junior administrators to resolve complex issues.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Experience: Minimum of 5–10 years of professional experience in systems administration. Previous experience in performing arts or nonprofit sectors is highly preferred.
    • Technical Expertise:
      • Proficiency in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022).
      • Expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365.
      • Strong knowledge of networking protocols.
    • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • Work Environment:
      • Availability for an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours emergencies.
      • Ability to work in a hybrid or onsite environment and occasionally lift/transport server equipment (up to 40 lbs).
