    Organization: Meals on Wheels of Takoma Park/Silver Spring

    Location: Takoma Park, MD

    Compensation: $17/hour

    Schedule: 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday

    Typical Hours: 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM

    Duration: June through mid August (flexible based on academic schedule)

    About the Role

    Meals on Wheels of Takoma Park/Silver Spring is seeking a paid summer intern to support daily meal delivery operations. This is a hands-on role working in the kitchen, on delivery routes, and alongside volunteers to ensure meals reach older adults across the community.

    You will be part of the team that gets meals out into the community each day. This is a hands on role where you will spend time in the kitchen, on delivery routes, and working with volunteers.

    Some days move quickly, others are more routine, but everything you are doing supports real people. If you are looking for something where you can be involved and not just observe, this is a good fit.

    What you will be doing

    • Support meal packing and kitchen operations
    • Assist with delivery routes and ride alongs
    • Work alongside volunteers during delivery windows
    • Help keep daily operations organized and on track

    Who Should Apply

    Students interested in public health, social work, operations, or community-based work. You should be reliable, comfortable interacting with people, and open to hands-on work.
