Volunteer Recruiter for 2027 Bay Ride

We're hiring a Recruiting Coordinator to fill our 2027 volunteer crew

The Bay Ride only happens because about 50 people show up to run the day. Aid stations in Richmond, Oakland, Newark, San Jose and Pacifica, rider check-in on Friday evening and Saturday morning, and SAG drivers out on the course. In 2026 we were still filling shifts the week of the ride. For 2027 we want them filled early, and we want to pay someone to make that happen.

The job is narrow on purpose. Find the people, get them signed up on our volunteer form, done. You wouldn't be building schedules, running training, managing anybody, or working the event itself. Our partners at Bike Monkey handle all of that from start to finish. Once someone signs up, they're out of your hands and into good ones.

You'd get our sign-up link and the freedom to fill it however you like. Some of our best volunteers came from someone simply saying "you'd love this, come do it with me."

Who tends to be great at this: someone plugged into Bay Area cycling clubs, running groups, student orgs or a workplace volunteer program, and who is comfortable asking.

When: we're finalizing the 2027 date and will share it the moment we have it. The work starts a few months out and wraps the week before the ride, so everyone has time to plan. Work whatever hours suit you.
