Description
Role Description We are looking for part-time and full-time, on-site native-speaking English teachers based in, or looking to relocate to, Cusco, Peru. The English teacher will plan, deliver, and assess engaging English lessons for learners at various levels, using communicative and student-centered approaches. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, adapting content to learner needs, and maintaining clear records of attendance and progress. The role involves providing constructive feedback, supporting learners’ confidence in speaking, reading, writing, and listening. The English teacher will collaborate with colleagues and coordinators to align teaching with program goals and may contribute to curriculum development, placement testing, and occasional extracurricular or cultural activities. There is no Spanish language requirement.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong instructional skills in English teaching and teaching, with the ability to engage learners of diverse backgrounds and levels.
- Proficiency in tesson tlanning and education, including designing structured, learner-centered lessons and assessing progress.
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, with a clear, accessible teaching style.
- Relevant teaching qualification or certification (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA).
- Previous experience teaching English as a second or foreign language,
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small team and adapt to a new cultural environment with sensitivity and respect.
- Willingness to learn basic Spanish to support communication with local staff and community members is highly beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a genuine interest in education, community engagement, and cultural exchange.
