    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The MCH Data Analyst serves as the central data hub for Mamatoto Village's Maternal and Child Health (MCH) programs. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of program data from daily monitoring of client intake and enrollment records through monthly reporting, billing support, and funder dashboards. The Analyst ensures data accuracy and integrity across all systems, while supporting grant reporting, organizational communications, and cross-team data coordination.

    Reporting to the DSI Manager, the MCH Data Analyst works in close coordination with the QA Manager, Director of MCH Programs, Program Managers, and Team Leads. The ideal candidate combines technical data proficiency with exceptional attention to detail, cross-team communication skills, presentation and data translation skills, and a deep commitment to reproductive and racial justice. Applicants must be based in the DC Region.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Data Collection, Cleaning & System Management

    • Monitor the MCHP JotForms spreadsheet daily for newly completed consent and pre-assessment forms; upload completed forms to the corresponding client files promptly
    • Cross-check data systems daily to verify completed intake visits and ensure accurate client status on designated data sheets.
    • Update client enrollment status on designated data sheets from pre-intake to enrolled upon verification
    • Monitor the CRISP client and infant address sheet; upload new CRISP sheets to the panel processor weekly; verify and complete infant-specific demographic data from EHR records
    • Collect, clean, and analyze program outcome and performance data on an ongoing basis
    • Assist in the enrollment of program participants by processing enrollees in and out of data systems

    Client Status & Discharge Management

    • Review monthly discharge lists compiled by PCCs in coordination with QA Manager and MCH Program Manager; toggle client records to discharged status on ACS only upon final confirmation
    • Enter discharge date, pregnancy status, and discharge reason for each discharged client; deactivate discharged clients in EHR
    • Coordinate reactivation in EHR if a client is mistakenly discharged; assist QA Manager with ongoing cleanup of failed-to-convert and inactive pre-intake records

    Grant Reporting & Funder Data

    • Ensure accuracy of funder dashboards and prepare monthly reports; draft written summary data reports for review and final submission by DSI Manager
    • Update summary data sheets to support ongoing grant reporting cycles; maintain the MCO monthly case conferencing dashboard
    • Create quarterly outcomes reports and contribute data to support the annual report
    • Perform a secondary audit of monthly billable encounters for accuracy and compliance with organizational standards

    Dashboard Maintenance & Technical Support

    • Create and maintain user-friendly dashboards using available data; monitor, filter, and route help desk data requests to appropriate DSI staff
    • Support development and maintenance of productivity dashboards tracking monthly in-person visit counts and staff metrics to support manager one-on-ones and coordinator meetings
    • Collect monthly departmental KPI outcomes and create an aggregated report
    • Troubleshoot data-related issues encountered by Mamatoto Village staff; provide training and professional development on data-related topics
    • Assist in the provision of technical support to partnered organizations related to data collection and reporting
    • Provide support in the creation of internally used surveys

    Organizational Communications & Research

    • Serve as data liaison for the communications team, provide data for newsletters and organizational updates
    • Assist in the completion of regular organizational reports (grant report presentations, staff meeting updates, MCH Programs presentations) by adding relevant and requested data
    • Support identification of possible research topics; collaborate on the authorship of manuscripts and presentations

    Additional duties may be assigned within the scope of this position

    SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

    Education & Experience

    • Graduate degree in public health or a related field
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in public health, maternal and child health, community programming, or a related field
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze and work with numerical and programmatic data

    Technical Skills

    • Strong proficiency in Google Applications (especially Google Sheets) and Microsoft Excel
    • Experience with Canva for data visualization and communications support
    • Experience with data analytics software (Looker, SPSS, etc.) beneficial
    • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems; experience with Mobile Doula, JotForm, or similar platforms a plus
    • Working knowledge of best practices in data visualization
