At Water.org, you’ll work at the intersection of financial inclusion and social impact—partnering with MFIs and banks to unlock affordable financing for water and sanitation. The Relationship Manager – MFI & Banking sector leads the success of our microfinance and banking partnerships—driving performance, delivering on shared priorities, and unlocking impact. You’ll act as a trusted advisor and problem-solver, helping partners design and implement programs that bring Water.org’s value to life.     What You’ll do

    Account Management

    • Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned MFI and banking partners, fostering long-term success and satisfaction.
    • Implement partner-facing service delivery and projects, ensuring alignment with agreed priorities and business plans.
    • Maintain high-quality data and reporting accuracy to support decision-making and verify program outcomes.
    • Nurture strong working relationships that support partner performance and the achievement of impact goals.

    Business Development

    • Strengthen and expand relationships with key decision-makers within your partner portfolio and/or geographic area.
    • Identify and cultivate opportunities to grow Water.org’s footprint within the financial sector, including new partnerships, product innovations, or expanded financing programs.
    • Support strategy execution and pipeline development for Water.org’s products and services.

    Business Metrics & Reporting

    • Deliver timely, accurate reporting and analysis of account performance, including program execution, funding utilization, and projected impact.
    • Translate performance metrics into insights and recommendations for internal stakeholders and partners.

    What Makes you a great fit

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
    • At least 5 years of relationship management experience, with a strong preference for backgrounds in: Microfinance institutions (MFIs), Banking institutions, NBFCs and/or MSME finance.
    • Water and sanitation financing
    • Demonstrated success in expanding/scaling business partnerships, or business contracts.
    • Strong relationship-building, communication, and advisory skills.
    • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

    Travel Requirement

    • Up to 25% of domestic and international travel

    Salary/Benefits

    This position offers country-specific benefits and market-based, competitive salary as well as periodic review for merit and incentive pay based on organizational and personal achievement.
