    Administrative Director – Job Posting

    The Position and Key Responsibilities

    The Foundation seeks a full-time Administrative Director with a minimum of 2-4 years’ relevant experience in supporting roles in the non-profit sector. As one of three staff members, this is a fast-paced, dynamic environment with some fluidity in our roles. As such, the position carries substantial opportunity for growth and career development. You will be reporting to the Executive Director, handling day-to-day operations including but not limited to:

    • Managing communications and meetings. You will be the primary point of contact for applicants, grantees and trustees, as well as donors, consultants, vendors and other parties. You will also arrange in-person and virtual interview sessions with applicants and schedule meetings for the Board of Trustees and related Committees.
    • Maintaining files. You will be responsible for maintaining all applicant and grantee electronic files, including applications, transcripts, letters of recommendation, tax filings and other materials. You will also manage trustee interview write-ups and ratings associated with each applicant, as well as database information related to grantee budgets, academic institutions, grant levels and other relevant information.
    • Handling website and social media. You will maintain and update the Foundation's website and all social media, including but not limited to LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube. This may be related to Foundation events, news, grantee updates and other related developments.
    • Arranging live events. You will arrange and manage live events for 25 to over 200 people, including events focused on individual Schepp grantees, holiday parties, and large celebrations of Foundation milestones. This may include finding and booking venues, handling invitations, RSVPS, caterers, on-site logistics, and any other event-related needs.

    Other duties may include assisting the Executive Director or the Advancement Director with financial tasks involving donors and payments, managing the Foundation's vendor relationships, and other tasks that may arise.

    Requirements

    • Self-starter, ability to assume responsibility
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Proficient in English as well as strong writing skills
    • Proficient in computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube

    Job details and compensation

    The Schepp Foundation is an equal opportunity employer. The position will be in person at the foundation's offices in midtown Manhattan four days per week and one day, which may be virtual. Occasional work in evenings or weekends may also be required, especially related to live events. Salary will be commensurate with experience. The foundation also provides a competitive benefits package.
