    Description

    About New Majority Capital

New Majority Capital (NMC) is a mission-driven organization committed to eliminating persistent wealth gaps across the United States. We believe entrepreneurship is one of the most powerful tools for building generational wealth and closing the ownership divide. Our goal is to help acquiring entrepreneurs buy the right businesses and scale them successfully, creating new wealth opportunities that impact their families and broader communities.

Our flagship accelerator, bETA (Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition), prepares underrepresented entrepreneurs to acquire businesses through structured education, network access, and capital pathways. Fellows graduate equipped to pursue small business ownership, but graduation is just the beginning. To date, we have run 11 accelerator programs, graduating 363 alumni. We expect to graduate an additional 180 entrepreneurs in the coming year.

In service of our broader entrepreneur community, we are building a community platform and experience designed to meaningfully increase:

    • Acquisition likelihood and speed to close
    • Post-acquisition business success
    • Resource utilization across partner organizations
    • The strength and connectivity of our alumni network

    About the Role

We are hiring our first Community Manager to design, manage, and scale NMC’s community support, from acquisition search through post-acquisition business growth. You’ll be the center of our network making sure every community member has resources, relationships, and support to acquire and grow a business.

The highest priority of this role is building and activating a high-trust, execution-oriented alumni community to accelerate acquisitions and strengthen post-acquisition business success.

This is a builder role. You will be the owner of our community platform, shaping the strategy, systems, and programming that turn our network into an engine of ownership and wealth creation.

    What You’ll Do

Acquisition Support (Search → LOI → Close)

    • Build and manage structured pathways that help alumni and the broader NMC community reach acquisition.
    • Core assets you will manage and strengthen:
    • Weekly Office Hours with investment team and deal analysts
    • Resource library
    • Alumni deal tracking systems
    • Other AI-driven tech platforms for deal sourcing and vetting
    • Build genuine relationships with alumni so you know their wins, challenges, and next moves and can track search and deal progress across stages.
    • Identify stalled activity and proactively engage.
    • Coordinate introductions to brokers, lenders, advisors, and investors.
    • Ensure alumni and broader community access the right support at the right stage.
    • Identify new tools, templates, and playbooks needed to support acquisition.

Success in this area = more community members progressing toward and closing acquisitions.

    Build & Activate a High-Impact Community

    • Design and steward a milestone-driven community experience.
    • Develop a new online community platform for peer learning, resource sharing, virtual events and materials.
    • Facilitate peer collaboration on live deals and operational challenges.
    • Support accountability partnerships and cross-cohort collaboration.
    • Ensure the community is not passive but a dynamic, execution-oriented support network.

Success in this area = our community members help each other close more acquisitions

Resource Ecosystem Integration & Partner Utilization

    • Develop and manage a multi-pronged resource ecosystem that supports both portfolio and non-portfolio companies.
    • Continue to develop our partnerships with operational and strategic advisors, controllers, HR partners, deal sourcing partners, and tech and process improvement consultants.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with ecosystem partners.
    • Ensure community members understand when and how to utilize each resource.
    • Track resource utilization and identify gaps in available support.
    • Integrate partner offerings into structured programming, not just one-off referrals.
    • Continuously improve the ecosystem based on alumni outcomes.

Success in this area = our partners help our community members close more acquisitions and become more successful once they acquire

    Programming & Events

    • Design and host monthly virtual sessions, expert workshops, and targeted programming aligned to acquisition and post-acquisition milestones.
    • Curate speakers and partners who provide practical, stage-specific support.
    • Manage logistics, budgets, and execution with excellence.
    • Iterate programming based on engagement data and deal progression insights.

    Measurement & Impact

    • Track and report on metrics such as:
      • Alumni actively searching
      • LOIs submitted
      • Deals closed
      • Participation in post-acquisition sessions
      • Resource utilization across partner organizations
      • Engagement in peer collaboration

    What You Bring

    • 5 years of experience in community management, alumni success, founder support, or ecosystem building.
    • A builder mindset, excited to create structure, not just manage events.
    • Strong operational instincts: you track progress, spot bottlenecks, and intervene early.
    • Exceptional relationship-building and facilitation skills.
    • Comfort managing multiple initiatives simultaneously in a growing organization.
    • Experience using CRMs, project management tools, and analytics platforms to drive accountability and insights.
    • Comfort learning new tools and thoughtfully applying AI to improve efficiency and transparency.
    • Fluency in / lived understanding of wealth gap impacts and socioeconomic nuances affecting historically marginalized entrepreneurs.
    • Deep belief in entrepreneurship as a pathway to economic mobility.
