    Description

    The Education Case Coordinator assists families with school enrollment, Pre-K and daycare applications, educational advocacy, communication with schools, and access to financial assistance and other education-related resources. The Education Case Coordinator works closely with families, schools, childcare providers, and community partners to identify barriers, coordinate services, and promote equitable access to education.

    The Education Case Coordinator reports directly to the Education Case Manager.

    • Assist families with school enrollment, transfers, Pre-K and daycare applications, and other education-related processes.
    • Guide families through application requirements and assist with the collection and submission of necessary documentation.
    • Serve as a liaison between families, schools, childcare providers, and community partners.
    • Attend school meetings, registration appointments, and other education-related meetings with families as needed.
    • Advocate for families experiencing barriers related to enrollment, attendance, language access, or educational services.
    • Research funding opportunities and assist families with applications for educational and childcare financial assistance.
    • Maintain accurate client files in Dropbox and update services, case notes, and outcomes in Salesforce.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with schools, daycare providers, and community organizations.
    • Provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed support to families throughout the education navigation process.
    • Meet regularly with the Education Case Manager for supervision and collaborate with Education Department staff on client needs.
    • Perform other education-related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Experience working with children and families in educational, social services, case management, or a related professional setting preferred.
    • Experience working with immigrants, refugees (especially West Asian cultures) and overall linguistically diverse communities in a trauma-informed manner strongly preferred.
    • Commitment to social justice and education equity.
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to develop trust with families and community partners.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing applications, documentation, and deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Arabic and/or Spanish speaking and comprehension is strongly preferred.
    • Ability and willingness to travel to schools, daycare centers, and other off-site locations as needed.
    • Knowledge of SalesForce, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office

    This position is 20 hours per week.

    This position is non exempt from overtime.

    Level of Language Proficiency

    Proficiency in Arabic and/or Spanish speaking and comprehension is strongly preferred.
