    JOB SUMMARY: The Manager of Operations—N. TX (“Ops Mgr”) will manage and execute the activities, policies, and initiatives related to the operations (day-to-day activities) of AT LAST! (“AL!”) in N. Texas, ensuring that AL! is performing efficiently and effectively, and in a manner that achieves the objectives set by AL!. Ops Mgr must have, and utilize in performing its responsibilities, familiarity with a wide range of the sources, concepts, practices and procedures utilized in the field of Operations. Ops Mgr will lead and manage the work of others on an “as assigned” basis, and will also be expected to apply the fundamentals of operations, but also expected to be a capable problem solver for matters routinely expected to arise in Operations (including moderately complex problems).

    • CERTAIN ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
      • Attain Operational Results. Execute tasks and/or activities in a manner that will generate the results and outcomes requested.
      • Operations & Processes—SME. Serve as a subject matter expert by providing the input necessary in the development and improvement of AL!’s operational processes.
      • Budgetary Management and Compliance. Execute Operations tasks and actions in a manner that complies with any budgetary constraints communicated to Ops Mgr by CEO (and monitor and communicate budgetary compliance as Ops Mgr executes).
      • Systems—Grasp. Acquire and maintain a strong understanding of the role of each system utilized by AL!, and proficiency in the use of each system at a level sufficiently high to meet AL!’s needs (in its daily operations, its licensing-related needs, and all areas in between).
    • QUALIFICATIONS:
      • Undergraduate degree required (Business Administration degree preferred), or commensurate and relevant experience and results while--minimally--managing operations.
      • Five (5) years of related experience, preferably in the area of operations and—to a lesser degree—in a regulated industry.
      • Very proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, working familiarity with Power BI preferred, and able to quickly master such supplemental technological tools (e.g., database applications, software applications, hardware, etc.) as may be necessary or useful in ensuring consistent and ongoing functionality of AL!’s operations, program and licensing needs, as well as report generation.
      • Ability to excel in a ‘flat’ and narrow organizational structure, and lead in a staff-focused manner that enables reports to thrive in a culture emphasizing high accountability, professionalism, and respect.
      • High degree of emotional intelligence, and a customer-friendly demeanor.
      • Excellent reliability, self-initiative, and problem-solving characteristics.
      • Very effective verbal and written communication skills.
      • Ability to thrive in an emotionally-charged environment involving customers comprised of elementary school children and demanding parents/guardians from aspirational families.
      • Comfortable interacting and communicating with persons from a wide variety of socioeconomic circumstances, and an advocate determined to equally champion the cause of an impoverished child of any ethnicity, gender, faith, absence of faith, and/or national origin.
      • Must be a licensed to drive in the State of Texas, and have a reliable vehicle.

    Ops Mgr is eligible to receive employment benefits as generally provided per AT LAST!'s applicable policies and benefit plans. The employee benefits plan provides the employee a budget (comprised of a percentage of his/her Base Salary), a menu of available benefits, and empowers him/her to utilize that budget to select the benefits he/she values most among those on the menu.

    Level of Language Proficiency

    Must be proficient in English. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
