About the IMEU:
The Institute for Middle East Understanding (IMEU) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit that educates audiences in the U.S. about Palestine and Palestinians through media. We do this by offering mainstream U.S. media access to facts, analysis, and experts to help them cover the issue accurately and in-depth, and by creating and disseminating original videos, graphics, and other content.
About the Role:
The Associate Director of Editorial will co-lead IMEU’s digital media strategy, vision, and execution, and help write and review editorial content, working with a small but dynamic digital team consisting of writers, producers, and digital designers. This role requires strong writing and editing skills, a strong understanding of social and digital media platforms, knowledge of Palestine and the US media landscape, and the capacity to curate timely, engaging content aligned with IMEU’s strategic objectives.
Working closely with senior leadership, the Associate Director of Editorial will oversee the planning, development, and publication of content across IMEU’s platforms, including social media channels, the podcast, and the website. They will be responsible for reviewing and editing copy and content. This is an excellent opportunity for a digital media professional eager to contribute to a mission-driven team amplifying underrepresented voices.
