    Description

    Title: Development Manager

    Supervisor: Senior Development Manager/ Chief Development Officer

    Classification: Exempt

    Summary Description:

    The Development Manager oversees Grace Institute’s donor database, website, and electronic communications to support and strengthen all fundraising initiatives, including special events, corporate engagement, institutional giving, and annual giving efforts. This role is responsible for providing database management, website administration, and operational support to the Development team while serving as a key liaison to the Board of Directors and Development Committees.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Development Operations & Fundraising (60%):

    • Assist the development department in managing Grace Institute’s database. Maintain meticulous donor records in Salesforce and generate accurate reports, KPIs, and dashboards from Salesforce; process all contributions and work closely with the finance department to reconcile income reports and receivables.
    • Manage donor recognition process, create and send acknowledgment letters, emails, and phone calls as needed.
    • Oversee Google ads
    • Assist with fundraising events including mailing of invitations, maintaining guest lists, event support, etc.
    • Assist with research, prospecting, grant writing for individual/major donors and foundation support.
    • Assist with corporate engagement and volunteer events; assist with day-of-event needs.
    • Assist with special projects as assigned
    • Updating development language on materials such as acknowledgment letters as needed

    Executive Support (25%):

    • Assist Chief Executive Officer and Development Director with board engagement including scheduling; attend board meetings, prepare materials for board meetings, and produce meeting minutes
    • Organize materials and/or scheduling for meetings with key stakeholders such as board members, prospective board members, donors, and partners.
    • Support the Chief Executive Officer, and Development Director with special projects on an as needed basis.

    Marketing and design (15%):

    • Oversee and maintain WordPress website for Grace Institute; communicating with website developers as needed
    • Manage and maintain brand guidelines
    • Oversee design of marketing and event materials for the Development department and others including; one-pagers, decks, annual reports, invitations, programs, etc.
    • Designing monthly newsletters in Mailchimp
    • Rewriting marketing materials as needed

    Other:

    • Work may involve contact with or handling sensitive and confidential issues related to donors, staff, board members and finances. Discretion is required at all times.
    • Support other development administrative staff as required
    • Provide direct supervisor with regular progress reports and updates on projects
    • Perform other administrative duties as assigned
