    About TACT:

The Trans Advocacy & Care Team (TACT) is a trans-led nonprofit building a national peer support network for transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive adults. We offer free virtual peer counseling, support groups, and resource navigation for people across the U.S.

Our work is grounded in trans joy, authenticity, and community care. We believe every trans person deserves to feel deeply understood and supported. Learn more at www.yourtact.org.

    About the role:

We’re looking for a creative, organized, and community-rooted storyteller to help share TACT’s work with the world. The Social Media & Communications Manager will design and publish engaging digital content that speaks directly to trans community members, volunteers, and donors. This part-time role is perfect for someone who loves design, writing, and crafting messages that feel honest, vibrant, and aligned with trans liberation.

You’ll create social media posts and newsletters that uplift trans stories, advertise our services, and invite people into our community—with the goal of increasing engagement, expanding our reach, and strengthening our impact.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Create and schedule 1–2 visually compelling, on-brand social media posts per week
    • Write concise, engaging captions that reflect TACT’s voice and values
    • Design social media graphics and visuals in Canva (or similar tools)
    • Develop 1–2 newsletter emails per month to share impact stories, updates, events, and calls to action
    • Create digital content that effectively supports volunteer recruitment, participant outreach, and fundraising campaigns
    • Produce content with clear fundraising CTAs that help drive measurable results
    • Track engagement metrics and suggest creative strategies for growth and deeper connection with our audiences

You’re a Great Fit If You:

    • Have strong visual design skills and a strong, visually-compelling portfolio
    • Are an excellent writer and editor with a sharp eye for tone and storytelling
    • Know how to engage trans audiences and communicate with authenticity
    • Are organized, self-motivated, meet deadlines consistently and communicate reliably with colleagues
    • Care deeply about trans liberation, joy, and community care

    Preferred (but not required):

    • Experience creating social media content for nonprofits or mission-driven projects
    • Familiarity with newsletter tools (like Mailchimp)
    • Experience creating short-form video or basic animation (like Reels)
