NATURE OF JOB:
Reporting to the Executive Director and CEO through the Director of Student Engagement, the Assistant Director of Recruitment and Outreach is a dynamic, high-
energy role designed to drive enrollment and elevate the brand and reputation of
our school system. This position blends strategic recruitment activity planning with
creativity, interpersonal skills, and community engagement.
This role will analyze student activity and enrollment trends to design targeted
recruitment initiatives and events, capture and amplify school culture across digital
platforms, and serve as a vital ambassador connecting school leadership and
enrollment teams with prospective students and families.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enrollment and Recruitment
- Track and monitor enrollment data for a comprehensive review and
reporting of enrollment and withdrawal activity, recovery techniques, and
other aspects of recruitment and retention efforts for all-school enrollment
support.
- Act as a liaison for prospective families, guiding them seamlessly through
the inquiry, visit, and enrollment pipeline.
- Counsel prospective students and families on the application process,
academic programs, and basic community and financial aid opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local community organizations,
feeder schools, youth groups, and neighborhood leaders to expand the
school’s footprint.
- Utilize Admissions CRM software to track prospect engagement, manage
communication flows, and analyze enrollment/outreach trends.
Community Outreach, Event Hosting, and Event Attendance
- Engage with students and gather information about industry trends and
student community needs to identify fresh outreach and marketing
opportunities for the school system.
- Maintain and follow up regularly with potential students and marketing
referrals to ensure engagement with high-quality leads and successful
follow-ups.
- Organize logistics for community events, webinars, and school events, from
coordinating swag orders to managing email subscription and signup lists..
- In partnership with the Regional Director of Student Success, this role will
plan, execute, and evaluate on-campus and virtual events, such as Open
Houses, tour & talk days, on-site tours and events, off-site community and
recruitment events to maximize the community awareness and enrollment
potential of these events.
- Coordinate with enrollment and communications teams to design and deliver
dynamic, engaging presentations to potential students, partners, and at
community events.
Engaging Content Management
- Attend and host recruitment/community events to take and share dynamic
photos, videos, and testimonial content at and during outreach events to
encourage participation, recruitment, and community engagement across
digital school platforms through engaging stories that build "hype" and
showcase a vibrant school culture.
- Monitor student, parent, and community feedback, responding promptly or
routing queries to the appropriate faculty or staff.
- Assist with basic graphic design tasks to keep visual assets, posts, marketing
materials, and other public-facing displays and signage on-brand.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations,
Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in recruitment, admissions, brand
ambassador, or community outreach
- Technology
o Familiarity with software office suites (i.e., Microsoft, Google)
including email, calendar, and Drive.
o Familiarity with social media platforms and trends including TikTok,
Snapchat, and Instagram;
o Familiarity with Content management systems for websites, basic
graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) and video editing apps.
- Ability to work outside of the traditional work hours, including occasional
evenings and weekends to attend recruitment events and community
gatherings.
- Travel: Frequent local travel within the surrounding communities and school
campus regions.
SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
