Technology Director Job Position (March 2026)

Until Justice Data Partner, UJDP (ujdp.org), a growing nonprofit, as a Technological Director. Formed in October 2020, UJDP is a service and solidarity-focused research and advocacy support organization. Rooted in the Jemez Principles for Democratic Organizing, we believe in the lived and technical experience of our community and grassroots partners. We aim to enable the collection, dissemination and use of community and institutional datasets.

We are looking for someone to lead our tech support, project development and build-out, and to work with our community partners. The person in this position will be able to guide UJDP in the expansion of the technological team, based on needs.

This is a great opportunity to work with a reputable organization with trusted community partnerships for over 15 years.

The Director should be a dynamic individual who can work independently and in collaboration with our organizational partners. They should excel in building and sustaining relationships and have strong planning skills. Creativity, drive and a sense of purpose are necessary to engage our expanding technological work to provide free and accessible data. Good communication skills are a must, both within UJDP, with our partner organizations and our community partners.

By joining our community, the Director will have the opportunity to work with academically and community researchers, policy experts, organizers, lawyers, technical experts and advocates from our local, regional, national and international partners. The Director will work on projects, including FencelineData.org and work on the Nextcloud platform and the 1984 hosting server.

Your work and efforts will help find the root causes of injustices, sustain and build data tools, prevent and respond to natural and chemical disasters, and normalize the use of data in advocacy and community education. You will directly work to make sure data is free and accessible.

Responsibilities, duties, skills and qualifications are below. We look forward to meeting the person who will join us as we work to normalize the use of data for social progress.

    This is a remote position.

Pay $40/hour with the possibility for an increase, as funding allows.
