    Bounce Children’s Foundation transforms the lives of chronically ill children, and their families,

    shifting all from surviving to thriving – until cures are found.

    Description:

    Reporting directly to the CEO, this position designs, delivers, evaluates and continually enhances, a comprehensive portfolio of Bounce Children’s Foundation programs. Current program portfolio includes:

    • Bounce Bash®: from every-day, to once-in-a-lifetime, family adventures specially designed to allow medically fragile children to participate
    • Bounce It Forward®: turning donated tickets to sporting, theatre and other high demand events into unexpected fun for Bounce kids/families
    • Bounce Back Kits®: themed family care packages that distract and ease stress for Bounce families who frequently experience medically necessitated ‘lock in’
    • Bounce Academy®: strength training for vital coping skills for parents/caregivers
    • Bounce Net®: a 24×7 private, online community and safety net for parents/caregivers ensuring connection when and where most needed

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Work with CEO to build and execute Bounce’s overall program strategy, including but not limited to: Bounce Bash®; Bounce Back Kits®; Bounce It Forward®; Bounce Academy®; Bounce Net®
    • Overall responsibility for program development/execution/evaluation/continual improvement including, but not limited to: event planning and management; family communications; building relationships with external constituents
    • Set and achieve annual program goals, both quantitative and qualitative, in:
      • Bounce Bash: average 2 per month
      • Bounce It Forward: as available
      • Bounce Back Kits: 6 times per year
      • Bounce Academy: quarterly
      • Bounce Net: 5 posts per week
    • Manage Program Operations Assistant
    • Enhance and expand programming through assessments and feedback from families
    • Meet/exceed program budget and optimize how it is used, including leveraging in-kind donations
    • Contribute to organization’s overall communications vehicles (website, newsletter, annual report, etc.)
    • Facilitate Volunteer Involvement in Program Events
    • Drive Program Enrollment and Leveraging of the Membership Database
    • Generate monthly and annual performance metrics
    • Compile program impact reports
    • Assist colleagues in the office and share general office duties, as needed

    Mandatory Job Qualifications:

    • BA degree (or equivalent) with strong interest in child/family development, social work, or related field
    • Minimum of two years’ experience in nonprofit sector or related field
    • Commitment to Bounce’s mission and empathetic to the needs of chronically ill children
    • Experience with Event Planning
    • Organized, attention to detail, ability to juggle multiple priorities, accurate, dependable
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Social Media, database software and Internet
    • Above Average oral and written communications skills
    • Event/Project management and volunteer management experience preferred
    • Schedule includes an average of 2 weekend program events per month
    • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and assist with event set up/tear down
    • Valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and available for limited travel around the Chicagoland area

    Salary/Benefits:

    Salary commensurate with experience; position includes benefits package consisting of paid time off, retirement plan and medical benefits. Due to nature of program delivery schedule, position includes up to 1 day/month of comp time.
