HDC is seeking an experienced Grants Manager to lead our grant development and management efforts and help secure and sustain funding for programs serving the farmworker community. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Grants Manager will manage the full grant lifecycle, build relationships with funders and donors, and lead fundraising events and campaigns that support HDC’s continued growth.

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Brentwood, CA, with occasional site visits, funder meetings, and events throughout Contra Costa and San Joaquin Counties.

    • Develop grant budgets and budget narratives and coordinate with HDC’s financial coordinator on financial reporting.

    Fundraising, Events, and Campaigns (25%)

    • Plan and execute La Cosecha, HDC’s annual fundraiser dinner, and support community events such as Fiesta Navideña.
    • Write and coordinate the annual End of Year appeal and seasonal donor communications.
    • Lead in-kind donation outreach and management for seasonal events, including Back to School, Día del Niño, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Thanksgiving.
    • Support the development and implementation of capital campaigns for HDC’s key growth needs.

    • At least 3 years of experience in nonprofit grant writing, development, and fundraising.
    • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a demonstrated ability to produce clear and compelling proposals and reports.
    • Strong organizational and project-management skills, including managing a calendar of grant deadlines, events, and campaigns.
    • Experience working with budgets and program data.
    • Ability to collaborate with staff, leadership, volunteers, and partners.
