    ABOUT THE TEAM

    As a strategic partner to SEEC, the Human Resources Department leads talent acquisition, employee relations, and benefits. HR aligns workforce strategies with SEEC’s mission and organizational goals by attracting and retaining top talent, fostering positive employee relationships, and developing competitive compensation and benefits programs that support employee satisfaction, engagement, and long-term retention.

    IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL:

    • Serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
    • Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums, and plan administration.
    • Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting
    • and fees.
    • Coordinate daily benefits processing: Handle new enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, QDROs, QMCSOs, distributions, loans, hardships and compliance testing.
    • Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database and update employee payroll
    • records.
    • Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings and reconciliations. This includes the preparation of vouchers for payment of administrative fees for all group plans.
    • Perform monthly reconciliations by reviewing vendor invoices, internal HR enrollment records, and payroll deductions to identify and resolve errors or inconsistencies.
    • Analyze current benefits, evaluating the use, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience and competitive trends in benefits programs, and identify the company's stance.
    • Support HR Director and HR Manager with plan audits and the preparation, collection, and organization of data for actuarial assessments.
    • Review both short- and long-range cost estimates/projections and relevant statistical analyses regarding modifications in benefits programs and implementation of new programs along with HR Manager/Director.
    • Survey industry trends. Complete benefits surveys and review information obtained from the results. Analyze complex benefits information. Forecast trends and assist with future benefits designs. Develop specific recommendations for review by HR management.
    • Monitor administrative costs of benefits programs and recommend cost containment strategies, including alternative methods for administration and funding.
    • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers. Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package with the use of technology (HRIS)
    • Oversee the annual open enrollment process by coordinating plan communications, configuring enrollment software, addressing employee inquiries, ensuring accurate carrier and payroll deductions, and managing related activities, including coordination with vendors and brokers as needed.
    • Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions in collaboration with the benefits broker.
    • Provide training and support to employees related to employee benefits. Including onsite and offsite activities.
    • Analyze employee benefits data and prepare reports to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Evaluate and revise internal benefit processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
    • Research employee benefits plans and vendors to identify those that present the best value.
    • Design, recommend, and implement new benefits programs.
    • Examine possible plan designs and benefits cost changes.
    • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
    • Provides day-to-day assistance to the human resources department.
    • Assists with special projects.

    ABOUT YOU

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred
    • Two years of related benefits or employee benefits administration experience Three years of experience working in any Human Resources capacity (required).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Working experience with HRIS and benefits databases.
    • Project and team management skills and experience.
    • Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs.
    • Knowledge of benefits contract language.
    • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, OBRA, and Social Security and DOL requirements.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to empathize with employee concerns and needs, demonstrating a genuine interest in their well-being.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work in a high energy and hands-on environment.
