    Description

    Overview

    The LUCHA Program Coordinator will support the Program Manager in the day-to-day coordination, communication, and implementation of the NYS LUCHA Funding Initiative. This role is central to ensuring smooth program operations, strong relationships with grantees and partners, and timely completion of program deliverables. The Program Coordinator will work closely with internal teams, government partners, and nonprofit grantees to advance the goals of the initiative and strengthen nonprofit capacity across New York State.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the Program Manager in coordinating daily operations of the NYS LUCHA Funding Initiative.
    • Track program timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.
    • Maintain organized program records, databases, and grantee documentation.
    • Serve as a point of contact for LUCHA grantees, responding to routine inquiries and escalating issues as needed.
    • Support timely processing of grantee reimbursements and monitor compliance with reporting requirements.
    • Support internal and external communications, including drafting updates, materials, and summaries.
    • Assist with site visits and as needed, travel across New York State to support grantee engagement, data collection, and highlight program successes.
    • Provide support for internal and external meetings and events, both onsite and offsite, which could include moving tables and chairs, setting up signage, setting up AV, ordering food and beverages for participants, among other things.
    • Manage data input into grants database, and run grant reports on a monthly and ad hoc basis
    • Participate in special events, as needed, and other projects assigned.

    Qualifications

    • 2–4 years of experience in program coordination, grant management, or nonprofit/government program support.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Willingness and ability to travel within New York State as needed.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively and take initiative.
    • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, ensuring grant documents are accurate, and all communications align with FCNY and LUCHA messaging.
    • Bilingual (English and Spanish) strongly preferred.

    Reporting Structure

    The Program Coordinator will report to the Executive Vice President and LUCHA Program Manager.

    Compensation & Benefits

    The salary range for this position is $53,000-$57,000 annually, commensurate with experience. The organization offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement benefits.
