    Position Summary

This position supports the day-to-day operations and programming of the Biotech CEO Sisterhood, cross-C-Suite programs, and some basic support for the new C-Suite Sisterhoods. You'll serve as a trusted thought partner for the Executive Director and take ownership of three core areas: membership, program management, and operations.

We are a small organization — one full-time staff member and occasional part-time support — so this role requires someone who can work independently, manage competing priorities, and figure things out. The work spans both tactical execution and longer-term visioning and planning as the organization scales.

    Key Responsibilities

    Program Management

    • Own the full program lifecycle for CEO Sisterhood events and initiatives: needs assessment, design, implementation, and evaluation
    • Coordinate cross-C-Suite Sisterhood programs and provide basic logistical support for the new C-suite Sisterhoods
    • Manage vendor relationships, logistics, and timelines for events
    • Develop evaluation frameworks and track outcomes over time
    • Support the development of educational content and resources for members
    • Identify gaps in programming and propose new ideas

Note: Sisterhood programs are primarily ideated and driven by the Sisters. The Sister(s) will typically come to the staff with a concept, a speaker, a sponsor partner, or other suggestions. Then the staff member creates a program plan and responsibilities are designated for staff and/or Sister(s) depending on the scale and scope of the program.

    Membership Management

    • Field inquiries and serve as the primary point of contact for prospective members
    • Screen candidates, and manage the application and onboarding process
    • Connect new members to Sisterhood resources, events, and community
    • Build and maintain reporting on membership trends, engagement, and retention
    • Surface insights that inform programming and drive organizational strategy

    Operations

    • Assist with fundraising operations, including our donor-focused campaigns and corporate sponsorship pipeline
    • Support budget tracking, compliance, and board governance logistics
    • Identify high-leverage opportunities to save time and improve consistency
    • Lead integration of AI tools and automated workflows across the organization
    • Serve as our internal expert and trainer on emerging tools

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • 5-8 years of experience in program management, operations, nonprofit management, or a related field
    • Interest in biotech, biopharma, or life sciences — you don't need a science degree, but you should be familiar with the industry
    • Passion for women's leadership and gender equity
    • Strong program design and project management skills, with experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
    • Excellent written communication; able to synthesize information and write clearly for different audiences
    • Hands-on experience with tools like Google Workspace, Salesforce, or similar CRM; comfort learning new platforms quickly
    • Attention to detail for data management and analysis
    • Demonstrated experience with or strong interest in AI tools and process automation
    • Self-directed and comfortable with a small-team environment
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends

    Preferred:

    • Experience in a membership-based organization or nonprofit
    • Familiarity with Zeffy, Mailchimp, or Slack
    • Experience supporting fundraising or development functions

    Benefits

The salary range is $55.00-65.00 per hour, 10-20 hrs/week to start

The Organization will provide healthcare benefits, details of which are determined by the number of participating employees and will be confirmed in the offer letter
