    Description

    About Reach the World

Reach the World makes the benefits of travel and global networks accessible to all students, inspiring the next generation of curious, confident and compassionate global citizens. Reach the World’s virtual exchange programs connect K-12 youth to inspiring global travelers and speakers through live video calls and custom content. Each virtual exchange brings real-world adventure, fresh perspectives, and the chance for students to dream bigger about their own futures.

    Position Overview

The Journey Manager is the relational heart of Reach the World’s Traveler Program, ensuring that every member of each four- to 12-week Traveler Program feels supported, connected, and successful throughout their virtual exchange. This is a seasonal, full-time contract position that runs each year from September through April. You will onboard participants, lead kick-off calls across global time zones, and serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of approximately 100 concurrent educator-traveler partnerships. Success in this role requires exceptional organization, proactive communication, and the ability to manage many moving pieces while making every participant feel like your top priority.

    Position Details

Eight-month, full-time contract (40 hours per week) running annually from September through April. High-performing contractors may be invited to return for subsequent program years. Fully remote.

    Key Responsibilities

    • (15%) Onboarding & Matching: Use Salesforce and Form Assembly to support educator onboarding by reviewing registrations; sharing resources such as scholarship forms and user guides; and creating and sharing shortlists of potential matches for K-12 educators who are joining Reach the World’s Traveler Program.
    • (35%) Journey Kick-Off Calls: Use Asana, Salesforce and video conferencing to schedule and lead Traveler Program “Journey Kick-Off Calls” between Reach the World’s volunteer travelers and Reach the World’s K-12 educators. Guide participants through program expectations and align curricular goals with the program’s deliverables. A flexible schedule is required to accommodate calls across multiple global time zones; early morning or late evening calls will be common.
    • (20%) Journey Management: Use Asana, Salesforce and email to serve as the central, relational point of contact for Reach the World’s educators, contract editors, volunteer editors, and travelers throughout their virtual exchange journeys. Build strong relationships, respond to questions promptly, send reminders for key events, and ensure responsive communication that supports a positive program experience. Manage a caseload of approximately 100 concurrent programs.
    • (30%) Data & Administration: Use Salesforce, Asana, Google Drive, Dropbox and reachtheworld.org to maintain pristine, complete data. Ensure all program data remains accurate and current for reporting and operational needs with high attention to detail.

    Qualifications

    • Prior experience in K-12 education (classroom or experiential)
    • Prior experience using Salesforce and Asana
    • Prior experience working to support stakeholders across multiple time zones, cultural contexts, regional contexts, and educational settings
    • Relentless attention to detail and a passion for producing polished, error-free writing
    • Comfort managing a large portfolio of relationships with warmth and responsiveness
    • Passion for global education and cross-cultural exchange
