    Description

    About OneWorld Now!

OneWorld Now! (OWN) is an educational nonprofit with nearly 25 years of experience offering accredited language and leadership classes, along with study abroad opportunities, to high school students in Seattle and across the country. OWN prioritizes students who are historically marginalized in education systems — those from communities of color, communities new to the U.S., communities facing economic hardship, and first-generation college students.

As part of our after-school or summer program, students can earn high school world language credit by studying Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, or Russian. They can also opt to participate in credit-bearing Leadership workshops and apply to study abroad with OneWorld Now or partner organizations.

OneWorld Now!’s vision is that all youth have access to transformative international education opportunities. To help ensure this, all OneWorld Now! programs are priced on a sliding scale based on family size and income.

OneWorld Now! is committed to being an anti-racist organization and to supporting our youth, staff, and community in our ongoing learning of how we can dismantle all systems of oppression. We envision a world of equity, justice, and cross-cultural understanding.
