    About the program:

The NEEMAR program is a multi-dimensional initiative introduced in Palghar to create a safe, compassionate ecosystem for girls to find their voice, purpose, and confidence. Rooted in care and compassion, the program aims to ensure no child's dreams are limited by their circumstances. Based on field assessments in Palghar, the initiative focuses on providing learning, retention, safety, and dignity for tribal children, specifically girls and adolescents.

    Role Overview:

As the Program Lead, you will be the visionary architect responsible for designing an ecosystem that nurtures the agency and well-being of girls from underprivileged backgrounds. This role bridges high-level systemic strategy with grounded, trauma-informed implementation to create a gold-standard model for child development and welfare in India.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Architecture: Design an integrated care framework covering education, mental health, and agency-building.
    • Safety & Governance: Establish beyond-compliance SOPs to ensure a trauma-informed and rights-based environment.
    • Ecosystem Partnerships: Build collaborative relationships with District Administration, Zilla Parishad, and departments such as Tribal Development, Education, and Women and Child Development (WCD).
    • Systems Advocacy: Represent the foundation at regional and national forums to advocate for policy strengthening in child-centered care.
    • Impact & Knowledge: Develop metrics to track resilience and agency while documenting best practices to contribute to global discourse on child rights.
    • Leadership & Culture: Recruit and coach an interdisciplinary team, fostering a work environment rooted in accountability and psychological safety.
    • Operations: Oversee project financials, operational performance, and resource planning.

    Required Qualifications & Experiences

    • Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Development Management, Child Psychology, or Public Policy.
    • Sector Expertise: 15+ years of experience in child welfare, protection, or residential children's homes, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
    • Domain Mastery: Deep understanding of the Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act, POCSO, and trauma-informed care protocols.
    • Communication: Fluency in English, Hindi, and Marathi (or openness to learn).

    Core Competencies

    • Systems Thinking: Ability to connect field-level realities to broader policy shifts.
    • Adaptive Resilience: Navigating complex field challenges with emotional intelligence.
    • Relational Leadership: A coaching style that centers the voices of girls and frontline staff.
