    Make a Difference Through Advisor Engagement:

    The Advisor Relations Officer serves as a front-line relationship manager responsible for engaging, supporting, and growing The Denver Foundation's network of professional advisors.

    This position works closely with professional advisors to strengthen partnerships, promote the foundation's philanthropic services, and connect advisors and their clients with charitable giving opportunities. The Advisor Relations Officer also serves as the primary relationship manager for Advisor Managed Funds, a philanthropic giving vehicle that allows donors to maintain a relationship with their financial advisor while benefiting from The Denver Foundation's charitable and philanthropic services. This position also manages the foundation's Professional Advisors Council and collaborates with colleagues across the Impact Group to advance advisor engagement and philanthropic growth strategies.

    This position centers around four primary areas of responsibility:

    Professional Advisor Collaboration and Engagement (40%)

    • Engage advisors to increase charitable business to the foundation.
    • Engage and grow our network of professional advisors and qualify all professional advisors associated with donor funds.
    • Manage, recruit for, and engage our Professional Advisors Council as the foundation’s premier advisor engagement tool.
    • Identify, develop, and promote strategies that expand the diversity of the foundation’s advisor networks.
    • Partner with advisor networks to produce content and thought leadership on aspects of racial equity in the advisor industry.
    • Facilitate robust Professional Advisors Council meetings that highlight charitable planning and philanthropic topics of importance to our community.
    • Facilitate professional advisor events such as the foundation’s Engaged Advisors event.

    Fundraising and Donor Services (40%)

    • Serve as the primary intake for new business inquiries from Professional Advisors.
    • Engage professional advisors as strategic partners to promote the foundation’s philanthropic services and encourage client referrals for new fund holders and planned giving prospects.
      • Collaborates with advisors to support their clients’ philanthropic goals, positioning the foundation as a trusted resource for customized giving solutions.
    • Serve as primary relationship manager for Advisor Managed Funds (AMF), including advisor onboarding, relationship management, and ongoing monitoring of fund activity and performance.
    • Partner with the investment operations role in FIT to complete due diligence on new AMF opportunities.

    Marketing and Promotion (10%)

    • Participate in speaking engagements and networking events (e.g., with local estate planning councils) and identify opportunities to expand the foundation’s advisor audience.
    • Partner with the Communications team on the publication of the foundation’s quarterly e-newsletter for Professional Advisors.
    • Partner with the Communications team on the development of social media posts, including professional advisor-specific collateral, materials, and content.

    Departmental Collaboration and Engagement (10%)

    • Contribute to building and sustaining a positive departmental culture that supports commitment to team goals and core values and that fosters the development of individual leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Work in collaboration with other Impact Group colleagues and the Communications staff to tell stories of impact for the community and for donor-specific reporting.
    • Work with Impact Group colleagues and Communication staff to incorporate advisors into events, convenings, and other opportunities for engagement.

    ✨ The expertise you will use to advance our mission:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of five years of experience in fundraising or financial services.
    • Experience with volunteer committees, boards, or affinity groups.
    • Knowledge and understanding of charitable giving products
    • Knowledge and understanding of the high-net-worth wealth sector and tools and strategies in working with advisors and families of inter-generational wealth.
    • Experience using CRM systems for relationship management, prospect tracking, and moves management (e.g., C-Suite or similar platforms).
    • A learning orientation that’s focused on building continuous improvement and learning culture through assessment of outcomes and promoting organizational change.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining professional relationships.
    • Efficiently manages workload while applying analytical thinking to resolve challenges.
    • Upholds strict confidentiality and exercises sound judgment in all professional interactions.
    • Establishes meaningful partnerships with individuals from varied cultures, experiences, and viewpoints.
    • Confident engaging new contacts and cultivating meaningful professional relationships.
    • Experience expanding professional networks and identifying opportunities to strengthen partnerships.
    • An unwavering commitment to racial equity.
    • Belief in the model of community foundations.
    • Commitment to the philosophy of the Impact Group, bringing together all philanthropy at the foundation.

    Additional Certification and Experience We Value:

    • Certification such as CAP, CFP, CIMA.
    • Experience in major gifts, donor-advised funds, planned gifts and/or complex assets.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Daily communication via phone.
    • Frequent extended hours in front of a computer screen with or without accommodation.
    • Regular group and public speaking engagements, and occasional activities occurring outdoors.
