    Position Summary

The National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) is the leading national voice for dignity, respect, and recognition for domestic workers in the United States. NDWA was founded in 2007 by organizers and worker leaders in six cities representing nannies, house cleaners, and care workers, and now represents an alliance of more than 76 organizations across 22 states and 395,000 domestic workers nationally.

We are a multi-racial, multi-lingual organization building a powerful movement rooted in the human rights, dignity, and equality of domestic workers, care workers, immigrant women, and women of color. We envision a society where domestic work is valued as essential to our collective well-being and where domestic work jobs are good, economically secure jobs.

NDWA seeks an experienced, high-energy Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and logistical support to the Chief External Affairs Officer (CEAO) and Chief Strategy and Impact Officer (CSO). The CEAO leads the organization’s Development, Communications, and Digital teams and the CSO leads the Strategy and Impact, Product and Data teams. The Executive Assistant will be a proactive, organized, and an effective partner who protects and maximizes the executive’s time, anticipates needs, and keeps a complex, fast-moving portfolio running smoothly.

This is a hands-on executive support role for someone who already knows how to do the job at the C-suite level and who brings a joyful, solution-oriented approach to their work.

    Travel & Expense Coordination

    • Coordinate complex travel arrangements and itineraries.
    • Prepare and submit expense reports accurately and in a timely manner.

    Communications & Correspondence

    • Support daily email and communications, flagging priority items and ensuring confidentiality, timely, accurate responses and follow-up.
    • Serve as a primary point of contact and liaison for internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Chief External Affairs Officer and Chief Strategy and Impact Officer.

    Meeting & Event Support

    • Prepare meeting materials, briefing documents, and agendas; capture notes, and track action items and follow-through.
    • Coordinate logistics for team meetings, retreats, and events.

    Proactive Support & Problem-Solving

    • Proactively identify and solve problems, bringing a learning mindset and a focus on solutions when challenges arise.
    • Manage deadlines for the CEAO, tracking weekly priorities and project needs across the External Affairs department.
    • Participate in organization-wide activities, including retreats, all-staff meetings, and assembly.

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated experience as an Executive Assistant or administrative professional supporting senior or C-suite leadership; able to perform the full range of executive support functions independently.
    • Proven proficiency in calendar management, complex travel booking, expense reporting, and executive support protocols.
    • Warm, high-energy, and positive disposition, with a growth mindset and a solution-oriented approach to challenges.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, shifting environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; friendly, diplomatic, patient, and discreet and able to maintain confidentiality
    • Proficiency in Google Workspace, including Google Calendar, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
