    Description

    The Clinical Supervisor provides clinical supervision, support, and training to their assigned team to help staff members and interns develop their skills, knowledge, and competence in delivering services in the Children and Families program. This position is responsible for the direct oversight of the Children’s Activity Leader and the MO Children’s Room, as well as a Case Manager and Clinicians. The Clinical Supervisor will also carry a small caseload of child and teen clients who have witnessed or been victims of domestic violence or Gender-Based violence. The Clinical Supervisor also ensures adherence to ethical and professional standards, as well as compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provides clinical and administrative supervision of Children’s Activity Leader, Case Manager, Clinicians, student interns and volunteers.
    • Oversees the day to day running of the Children’s Room and any special events or programming.
    • Collaborates closely with other service providers at Sanctuary for Families
    • Conducts screenings and Comprehensive Assessments for children and families referred for counseling.
    • Provides individual counseling to a caseload of children and teens who have witnessed domestic violence or Gender-Based violence.
    • Develops and facilitates children’s support groups and child-centered psycho-educational groups for parents.
    • Makes referrals and provides advocacy for children and families.
    • Develops and provides training and community outreach.
    • Attends required meetings at Sanctuary for Families.
    • Maintains case files, notes and statistics for program and reviews those of staff they supervise.
    • Responsible for all reporting procedures with regard to their own funding sources and those of the staff they supervise.
    • Collaborates and consults with Development Department on grants and funding proposals and reports.
    • Participates in weekly supervision. Completes reports as required.
    • Performs any other department or agency-related duties or special projects as directed by supervisor.

    Requirements

    • LMSW, LMHC, or LCAT with supervisory experience required, LCSW strongly preferred.
    • At least two (2) years of experience providing clinical services to children and youth.
    • Strong clinical skills required.
    • Training in Evidenced Based Interventions such as TF-CBT and CPP preferred, being certified, or rostered strongly preferred.
    • Knowledge of play therapy a plus.
    • Knowledge of child development and family systems theories and frameworks
    • Experience working with victims of domestic violence or knowledge of dynamics of domestic violence and Gender-Based violence.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to take on a wide range of administrative tasks.
    • Strong organizational skills required.
    • Ability to function independently and work on a team.
    • Ability to work two evenings a week and to maintain a flexible work schedule both in-person and virtually.
    • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

    Budgeted Salary: $78,000 - $83,000 per year

    Work position is Full-time, Salaried/ Exempt

    Work schedule is currently Hybrid; must be able to meet job location schedule obligations
