    SUMMARY:

Adelante Mujeres means "women rise up" and the women and girls in our programs are doing just that. With your help, we can build the next generation of Latine leaders. Located in Forest Grove, Oregon and founded in 2002, Adelante Mujeres is known for innovative responses to community concerns.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Market Access Specialist is a creative, hands-on, entrepreneurial collaborator in our Market Access Program. This role will support existing Latine small business owners with access to markets, networking, coaching, technical assistance, training, and other resources to effectively manage their business. Business owners will have varying levels of business knowledge, experience, and product maturity requiring this role to be able to be adaptable in support. This role will utilize a variety of channels to promote products and services including digital sales, retail, and farmers markets. The Market Access Specialist reports to the Market Access Program Manager.

    • Coordinate the business recruitment and retention of participants in the Retail Business Incubator Project
    • Provide technical assistance and one-on-one coaching to identified business owners in the Farmers Market and Retail Business Incubator Project
    • Oversee all aspects of the retail storefront operations including vendor scheduling, merchandising, inventory control, event planning, and store design
    • Design and implement marketing strategies including regular social media posts, promotional events, material distribution, website updates, and media communication
    • Research and build partnerships for sales and distribution opportunities available to participants
    • Utilize Salesforce database tracking system

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Required:

    • A passionate commitment to the goals and mission of Adelante Mujeres including support for education, social justice, the environment, immigrant & BIPOC communities.
    • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills and ability to develop good working relationships with a wide range of people, including excellent verbal and written communication
    • Associates degree in Marketing, Retail Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, Agriculture, or a related field; OR 2 years of comparable experience in microenterprise or small business development (including food-business or farm-business)
    • Minimum one year experience working with the Latine community in business development
    • Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and collaborations
    • Demonstrated project management skills
    • Familiarity with managing financial and accounting processes
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, Zoom, Canva, and other virtual platforms
    • Bilingual language skills in Spanish and English required, professional ability to read, write and speak

    Preferred:

    • Experience facilitating workshops, trainings and meetings
    • Experience with social media platforms, design, and communications
    • Experience in database management and experience tracking data
    • Experience with farm business, general business management, microenterprises, or regenerative agriculture practices

    Additional Requirements:

    • Ability to successfully pass Criminal Background Registry
    • Reliable transportation to travel between worksites
    • Ability to manage a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and travel to events

    Benefits

    SALARY & BENEFITS:

    • Salary range: $55K - $58K, depending on qualifications.
    • Classification: Exempt, Salary, Full-time.
    • Telework: up to 2 days a week
