Role Overview
New Jersey Environmental Justice Alliance (NJEJA) seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Youth Climate Ambassador Program Supervisor to support a 6 week summer employment program, located in downtown Newark. This program exposes young adults (ages 16-20) to environmental career opportunities through site visits, hands-on activities, and community projects. In partnership with the Environmental Opportunities Center (EOC) Coordinator and the Deputy Director, this role will help to support young adults in their professional journey and prepare them for a future career in the environmental field. The Supervisor is responsible for meeting program objectives, communicating program needs, organizing and dispensing program supplies, and assisting in community project events. We are looking for someone who is both excited about environmental justice and who finds purpose in youth education and building long-term potential in others.
