    Part-Time Operations and Events Coordinator (Fractional – Greater Boston)

    The Exit Planning Exchange Greater Boston (XPX Greater Boston) is a community of professional advisors who collaborate to help private company owners build business value, transfer ownership, and create lasting legacies. The organization is structured as a 501(c)(6).

    We are seeking a part-time Operations & Events Coordinator to provide administrative and event support across chapter activities. This role is structured as an independent contractor engagement (~20 hours per month) with most work performed remotely and periodic in-person support at Boston-area events.

    Key Responsibilities

    Events

    Pre-Event Coordination

      • Help coordinate planning calls with panelists and speakers
      • Communicate with venue staff regarding logistics and event setup
      • Assist with attendee registration lists and name tag preparation

    During Events (In-Person)

      • Assist with event setup and welcome table operations
      • Manage attendee check-in, name tags, and same-day registrations
      • Provide a warm welcome and help connect attendees with board members and other participants
      • Help direct guests to seating when programming begins
      • Assist with basic audio/visual coordination if needed
      • Gather informal feedback from attendees during the event

    Post-Event Follow-Up

      • Collect event photos and materials
      • Compile attendee feedback and event notes
      • Coordinate with the chapter’s Marketing Committee on recap materials or event promotion

    Membership Support

      • Respond to and route incoming membership inquiries
      • Assist with onboarding activities for new members
      • Coordinate new member spotlight opportunities
      • Support membership renewal outreach as needed

    Sponsorship Support

      • Respond to initial sponsorship inquiries and route to leadership
      • Assist with sponsorship renewal coordination
      • Provide logistical support for the chapter’s sponsorship dinner

    Administrative Support

      • Assist with coordinating the board offsite
      • Support occasional board initiatives or special projects
      • Provide general administrative assistance related to chapter operations

    Ideal Candidate

      • Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple small tasks
      • Strong communication and coordination skills
      • Experience supporting professional events, associations, or small organizations preferred
      • Comfortable interacting with senior executives and professional advisors in a polished networking environment
      • Based in the Greater Boston area and able to attend periodic in-person lunch or evening events (travel time compensated.

    This role may be a great fit for someone who:

      • Has experience supporting professional associations, events, or small organizations
      • Previously worked in an administrative, event, or program coordination role and is seeking flexible part-time work
    • Enjoys interacting with professionals and helping create a welcoming networking environment.

    Time Commitment

      • Approximately 20 hours per month
      • Majority of work can be completed remotely
      • In-person presence required during certain monthly or bi-monthly Boston-area events
      • Because this is a small fractional role, we are seeking someone who can reliably support the chapter’s activities on a consistent basis.

      • $45–$55 per hour, depending on experience

    Benefits

    Travel time for required in-person Boston-area events will be compensated.
