    Description

#2 **Client Services Coordinator (Carefree Support Services)**

    • *About Carefree**

Carefree Support Services is a **woman‑led nonprofit** that manages Social Security, SSI, and VA funds for nearly 300 vulnerable adults. We help people stay housed, keep their utilities on, and maintain stability. Our work is steady, detailed, and rooted in compassion.

    • *About the role**

This role is the day‑to‑day support for our clients. You’ll help manage their monthly budgets, pay bills, answer questions, and make sure their needs are met. It’s a mix of paperwork, phone calls, and problem‑solving. You don’t need a social work degree — just patience, organization, and a calm approach. Think of helping someone you know to pay all their bills.

Each coordinator is assigned a **letter range** (for example, S–Z), and you’ll handle all clients whose last names fall in your range. This keeps the workload balanced and makes it easier to stay organized.

    • *Hours & Pay**
    • **20–25 hours per week**
    • **$15 per hour to start**
    • Hours may increase as caseload grows
    • *What you’ll do**
    • Manage a caseload of clients based on your assigned **letter range**
    • Pay bills, track spending, and follow each client’s monthly budget
    • Enter expenses and deposits into QuickBooks (training provided)
    • Talk with landlords, utility companies, and service providers
    • Communicate with clients and families in a calm, respectful way
    • Keep client files updated and organized
    • Watch for changes in benefits, housing, or needs
    • Flag concerns to leadership when something doesn’t look right
    • Help with paperwork for benefits, renewals, and verifications
    • *What you should be comfortable with**
    • Phone calls and clear communication
    • Basic computer skills (email, QuickBooks training provided)
    • Staying organized with multiple clients
    • Working with vulnerable adults who may have mental health or cognitive challenges
    • Keeping good notes and following simple processes
    • Asking questions when something is unclear
    • *Who this job is good for**
    • Someone patient and steady
    • Someone who likes helping people stay stable and supported
