    Overview:

    Develop and execute a comprehensive digital engagement strategy that increases awareness of Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC), strengthens the JVC brand, and supports recruitment goals by connecting prospective volunteers with meaningful stories and opportunities. This position serves as the point person between recruitment, communications, and digital engagement, ensuring that JVC's online presence reflects our mission while building a strong pipeline of future Jesuit Volunteers. This position also serves as the primary owner of JVC's website and is responsible for maintaining accurate, engaging, and mission-aligned content.

    Responsibilities:

    Develop and Execute JVC's Digital Recruitment Strategy

    • Build and implement yearly digital campaigns aligned with recruitment priorities, application deadlines, and campus outreach.
    • Partner with the Director of Recruitment to translate recruitment goals into targeted digital marketing initiatives.
    • Develop digital campaigns that increase awareness, engagement, and completed applications.

    Lead JVC's Digital Presence

    • Manage and execute JVC's social media strategy across all platforms.
    • Develop, maintain, and execute a comprehensive content calendar.
    • Create engaging multimedia content, including graphics, reels, videos, stories, photography, and written content.
    • Expand and manage JVC's YouTube presence through volunteer stories, agency spotlights, and mission-centered content.
    • Partner with the web developer to ensure JVC's website remains current, engaging, and aligned with organizational branding.
    • Serve as the primary owner of JVC's website, overseeing content updates, branding consistency, and overall site maintenance.
    • Manage and organize JVC's digital photo and video library to ensure assets are accessible, current, and properly archived.
    • Support and communicate with JVC House Communications Leaders/Representatives to gather stories, photos, and content from communities throughout the year.

    Strengthen Audience Engagement

    • Build relationships with prospective volunteers through authentic online engagement.
    • Expand JVC's reach through both organic and paid digital strategies.
    • Identify emerging audiences and recruitment opportunities.
    • Monitor and respond to social media inquiries and conversations.

    Measure and Improve Performance

    • Track digital marketing performance and recruitment metrics.
    • Provide regular reporting to the President, Director of Recruitment, and Management Team on engagement, reach, conversions, and applicant activity.
    • Recommend adjustments based on data and trends to continuously improve recruitment outcomes.

    Collaborate Across the Organization

    • Partner with Recruitment, Communications, Programs, Development, and FJV Relations to elevate storytelling across JVC.
    • Support department initiatives through digital communications and marketing expertise.
    • Travel as needed to JVC events to capture content and support national recruitment efforts.

    Anticipated Results:

    • Increased awareness of JVC among undergraduate and recent college graduates.
    • Growth in social media engagement, audience reach, and digital community.
    • Increased traffic to the JVC website and higher conversion rates from digital engagement to inquiry and application.
    • Expanded storytelling that highlights Jesuit Volunteers, Former Jesuit Volunteers, agency partners, and the impact of a year of service.
    • A sustainable digital recruitment strategy that supports JVC's long-term placement goals while strengthening relationships with prospective volunteers and campus partners.

    Requirements:

    Education and Experience:

    • Education: A bachelor's degree preferred
    • Two - four years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or communications
    • Demonstrated experience managing and growing social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
    • Experience developing content across formats, including graphics, short-form video (Reels), and written copy
    • Strong understanding of social media analytics and performance tracking, with the ability to report on and interpret key metrics.
    • Experience using social media management and analytics tools
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

    • Experience with or understanding of post-graduate service programs, volunteer programs, or nonprofit recruitment
    • Experience as a Jesuit Volunteer (JV), Former Jesuit Volunteer (FJV), graduate of a Jesuit institution, or involvement in similar mission-aligned communities strongly preferred
    • Familiarity with Jesuit values (community, simplicity, social justice, spirituality) and ability to translate those values into compelling digital storytelling

    Physical Requirements:

    To perform in this position successfully, an individual must be able to:

    • Exert minimal physical effort with intermittent movement going from one place to another.
    • Withstand prolonged periods of sitting in meetings or at a desk working with a computer.
    • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
    • Repetitive Motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Required to have close visual acuity to perform extensive work on the computer.

    Working Conditions:

    • Availability to work evenings and weekends when required
    • Much of work with colleagues is by phone, video conferencing or other electronic means
    • Availability for extensive national travel
    • Significant amount of office work; must have the physical ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and perform daily activities from a desk and must be able to operate a computer and other office equipment

    Salary:

    $55,000 - $60,000 annually
