    About the Susan Wojcicki Foundation

Founded in 2026, the Susan Wojcicki Foundation is dedicated to the early detection and prevention of lung cancer. The Foundation carries forward the legacy of Susan Wojcicki, the former CEO of YouTube, who was diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer in 2022. It brings together leaders in science, technology, and healthcare to address one of the deadliest and most underdiagnosed cancers. Through research funding, strategic partnerships, and public awareness, the Foundation is working to fundamentally shift how lung cancer is detected, understood, and ultimately prevented. The Opportunity

We launched publicly in May 2026 to national coverage, including TIME and Good Morning America, with a launch event that brought together leaders across science, technology, and philanthropy. Our audience is growing across LinkedIn and Instagram, and we're building out our presence across social and video, including a new YouTube channel (more at susanwfoundation.org/the-latest).

The Social & Brand Marketing Lead takes the Foundation's story and packages it for the world: running our social presence, hands-on and with agency and freelance support, and overseeing the video, design, and marketing materials that carry our messaging to new audiences. You'll work with our communications team, who develop the core messaging and content, our Head of Creator & Community Partnerships, who sets our YouTube and creator strategy, and our creative agency, who helps bring it to life. You'll make sure all of it looks, sounds, and feels like the Foundation.

We're a small, nimble, collaborative team with expertise spanning science, medicine, technology, and philanthropy, working toward one vision: a world where no one loses a loved one to lung cancer. Our network includes YouTube creators, major tech companies, and leading scientists, which gives this role unusual creative access. We operate lean, efficient, and effective, so this is a hands-on seat with real ownership.

This is a remote, work-from-home position that requires occasional travel throughout the San Francisco Bay Area; therefore, candidates based in the region are preferred.

    What You'll Do

    • Manage our social content and channels end to end, including planning, publishing, and community engagement across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms, aligned with the broader strategy and working with agency and freelance support and rolling up your sleeves yourself when needed
    • Oversee and partner with our creative agency and freelancers on video, design, and marketing materials, creating briefs, giving feedback, and keeping everything on brand
    • Develop and manage marketing materials and collateral, including campaign and event materials, in line with our brand guidelines
    • Package messaging and content from our communications team for social and owned channels
    • Support participant recruitment marketing, adapting messaging for social, paid, and partner channels
    • Run paid and amplification, and use analytics to track performance and inform what we make next
    • Support events through content capture, collateral, and activations, including fundraising events
    • Contribute to brand and marketing strategy as the Foundation grows

    What You'll Bring

We're looking for a creative marketer who can take a message and make it something people want to watch, share, and remember.

    • Experience: Experience in social, content, or brand marketing (typically 5+ years), ideally with a mix of brand or general marketing and social channel ownership
    • Hands-On: Equally comfortable directing partners and doing the work yourself, from drafting and publishing posts to engaging our community, as well as video editing and design skills, and proficiency in editing software
    • Agency Partnership: Experience working with brand and creative agencies: briefing, directing, giving feedback, and keeping work on brand
    • Storytelling: Ability to turn complex or technical ideas into accessible, engaging content, balancing educational substance with content built to be shared
    • Judgment: Strong, independent editorial and brand judgment, with a good eye for design and video
    • Measurement: Comfort with analytics and paid social, and using data to refine what you make
    • Collaboration: Works easily with communications teams, creators, scientists, agencies, and partners
    • Pace: Thrives in a lean, fast-moving environment, wearing multiple hats and prioritizing constantly
    • Bonus: Science or health experience, YouTube channel building, event marketing, and nonprofit or mission-driven experience

We care more about demonstrated ability than a perfect-match resume. If your path here looks different from what's listed above, we still want to hear from you.
