    Description

    Alaska Wilderness League is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and results-oriented Campaign Director to lead and strengthen our grassroots and advocacy programs. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned organizer and campaign strategist to help shape the future of Alaska conservation while building the power needed to advance lasting protections for the lands, waters, wildlife, and communities that make Alaska unique.

    Reporting to senior leadership, the Campaign Director will provide strategic leadership, coaching and management to a team of three that provide campaign support and management, mobilization of our members and supporters, and critical partnership development. The Campaign Director will develop and execute integrated campaigns that inspire action, influence decision-makers, and build long-term public support for Alaska's wild places.

    Key Qualifications:

    • Experience developing and implementing integrated communications strategies in support of advocacy or public affairs campaigns.
    • Deep understanding of, or experience working in partnership with Native American and/or Alaska Native communities.
    • Experience working with Congress, federal agencies, or executive branch in decision-making processes.
    • Knowledge of federal public lands policy, environmental advocacy, climate policy or natural resource conservation issues
