    Description

    Atlantic Acting School, a NAST-accredited and Title IV-certified professional acting school, is seeking a School Financial Services Associate to handle key financial, business and administrative operations for our conservatory. This position is ideal for someone interested in growing with the organization.

    The School Financial Services Associate will serve as a bridge between the School’s academic and financial operations, working with leadership, students, parents and faculty. The School Financial Services Associate is responsible for student accounts and faculty contracts and assisting with the administration of student federal education and financial assistance programs. This position requires sound judgement and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently, excellent organizational and communication skills, and impeccable attention to detail.

    Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Manage tuition billing, payment plans, scholarships and work-study awards
    • Manage additional fees, tuition refunds and monthly reconciliation of tuition/student payments
    • Generate student contracts and payment plans; track outstanding balances
    • Generate faculty and other School-related contracts and hiring paperwork
    • With the Finance Department, prepare the annual Title IV Compliance Exam and assist with the annual audit
    • Work with School leadership to ensure all federal aid requirements and timelines are met
    • Assist with the administration of Federal Student Aid
    • Process international student records and issue Form I-20s, maintain student information on SEVIS and provide appropriate F-1 visa requirements
    • Administer GI Bill and other veteran education benefits

    Qualifications

    • Excellent organizational and communication skills; impeccable attention to detail
    • Strong Excel and financial systems skills required
    • Nonprofit finance, higher education, or school administration experience strongly preferred
    • Genuine interest in performing arts and/or education
    • Experience with Title IV federal financial aid and SEVIS a plus

    Benefits

    This is a full-time, non-exempt position with an annual salary of $48,000–$52,000 and a full benefits package including paid time off, health, dental and optional employee-contributed vision insurance, life insurance, long- and short-term disability upon eligibility, an employer-sponsored 401(k) plan, a Flexible Spending Account and Transit Benefits.
